For August, it will occur on the seventh. Not only are people enjoying First Friday, they are rediscovering their entire downtown. Over the years, the core area has gone through many changes. Along with the new water and sewer lines are the steetscaping that is in the last phases of completion. These major improvements have attracted many new businesses and encouraged the existing businesses to spruce up their shops. From little enhancements like flowering planters, to large renovations inside and outside, the stores are looking great. All of this work by the city and stakeholders of the downtown combined with events such as First Friday are contributing to the lively vibe in the downtown. If you haven’t experienced it for yourself lately, come down and join in for the August 7 First Friday. You will not be disappointed!
